Know your entire network, in numbers
IRI scores, PCI ratings and condition assessments across every road you operate. Budget allocation backed by objective, repeatable measurement, not by which roads got complained about.
Standard metrics, automated
The numbers consulting engineers produce, on every trip.
RoadScout generates the same industry-standard metrics an engineering consultancy would deliver, at a fraction of the cost and turnaround, and refreshes them every time a vehicle drives the road.
SEC. 01 / METRICS
IRI scoring from motion telemetry
International Roughness Index estimated from 25 Hz IMU accelerometer data across every surveyed segment, classifying roads from smooth to very rough on the bands engineers already use.
PCI generation per segment
Pavement Condition Index derived from detected defect types, densities and severities through a severity-weighted deduct model. The industry-standard 0 to 100 scale, for every road segment.
Network-wide condition ratings
Condition ratings from Excellent to Failed, combining visual defect analysis with ride-quality telemetry, so the assessment reflects both what the road looks like and how it drives.
The instrument panel
Roughness without the profilometer.
Traditional IRI measurement means a laser profilometer costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. RoadScout derives IRI estimates from 25 Hz IMU data, calibrated against reference measurements: network-level roughness suitable for planning and pavement management system inputs, at a fraction of the cost.
FIG. 01 / SCALES
Stated plainly: an estimate from 25 Hz telemetry, not a quarter-car profilometer reading. Good-practice benchmark: IRI 2.7.
Every roughly 100 m segment scores 0 to 100 on the ASTM D6433 seven-band scale, from Good at 86 and above down to Failed, through a severity-weighted deduct model. Good-practice benchmark: PCI 85. The result reads like a lane strip: the whole network, segment by segment, at a glance.
Reporting & planning
Budget allocation on evidence, not instinct.
Objective, repeatable condition data feeds directly into your pavement management system and capital planning process. Benchmark against prior years, forecast deterioration, and put hard data behind every funding request.
SEC. 03 / OUTPUTS
Deterioration forecasts and capital plans
Today's PCI and IRI scores project forward into deterioration forecasts and capital planning projections: a defensible multi-year works programme instead of an annual argument. Regulatory compliance reports and benchmark comparisons come from the same dataset, so every submission cites the same numbers.
Everything exports to GIS and your PMS: the assessment lives in your systems, not in a consultant's PDF.
Score your whole network this quarter.
PCI, IRI and condition ratings for every segment your fleet drives, refreshed continuously instead of surveyed once.
