Agreement
By accessing or using RoadScout (the "Service", provided by the "Company"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
RoadScout is an AI-powered road-intelligence platform that uses computer vision and sensor data to detect road defects, traffic signs, surface markings and infrastructure assets from vehicle-mounted cameras. The Service includes a mobile application, web dashboard and API.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- A single person or organisation may not maintain multiple free accounts.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Reverse-engineer the AI models or algorithms.
- Use the Service to collect data about individuals without consent.
- Exceed the usage limits of your subscription plan.
- Share account credentials with unauthorised parties.
Data & IP
Your data
You retain ownership of the road survey data you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a licence to process, analyse and store your data for the purpose of providing the Service.
Anonymised data
We may use anonymised, aggregated data derived from your surveys to improve our AI models, generate benchmarks and conduct research. This data cannot be traced back to your organisation.
Our property
The Service, including AI models, algorithms, software, designs and documentation, is the intellectual property of RoadScout.
Subscription & payment
- Free plans are subject to usage limits as described on the pricing page.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected.
- Payments are processed by standard third-party payment providers.
- You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.
AI detection disclaimer
IMPORTANT
AI detection results are provided for informational purposes only. AI-based detections may contain errors, including false positives and missed detections. All detection results should be reviewed by qualified personnel before being used for safety-critical decisions, budgeting, or official reporting.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoadScout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages arising from reliance on AI detection results.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. On termination, your data is retained for 30 days before deletion, during which you may export it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company is legally domiciled. Disputes are resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are communicated by email or in-dashboard notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
